Eli Farmer is a fine example of the all-around leader our Bloomington Blades Team has been fortunate to have this year. Eli has been a team elected as a Captain the past two seasons, and has led our team on and off the ice with his personality, ability, athleticism, and intelligence.  He has managed his classwork, local community service activities, his club and acting commitments, and dealt with some very challenging personal moments this year. Eli is one of the most coachable players I have been fortunate to coach in my several years of coaching. He is willing to listen, but not afraid to suggest either.  He motivates his team with his passion, effective communication, and his example on the ice.  When I look at the team as a whole Eli stands tall above the rest when it comes to his dedication and passion for the game of ice hockey.  He is dedicated to fair play, player respect for each other and the game it itself. I cannot think of any other player within our organization that truly deserves this award, Eli is without question the heart and soul of our organization, and without him and his overall ability, our season would not have been nearly as successful
