Julia is the epitome of what the Hobey Baker character award represents. She comes to hockey every day with an open-mind to learn, grow and set an example. She stands up for what she believes in and has the hard conversations when they need to happen which is why she also wears a C on her jersey. She always tells the truth and takes the lessons learned with humility and moves forward with a commitment to continually be better for herself and her teammates. Julia has a team first mentality and is someone that any coach would be fortunate to have on their team. I learn a lot every single day from her on how to compete at the highest level and have grace when our team may fall short.
