Lakeshore/ St. Joseph’s nomination for the 23-24 Hobey Baker Award goes to one of our senior captains, Samuel Hosbein. Sam has excelled on the ice during the 23-24 season as well as striving for excellence within the classroom. Sam is a student athlete at St. Joseph High (MI) and also part of the National Honors Society, all while maintaining an amazing 4.4 cumulative GPA. Within the scope of hockey Sam has been able to transform his game from being a goal scorer to becoming our team’s most responsible two way player who is trusted in every situation on the ice. Sam’s role as a leader along with his hard work, determination and dedication to the team game has provided the backbone to our success as our team made it to the quarter- finals in our city tournament as well as the finals in the 3A State tournament bracket. He has proven his dedication to his personal success and to the team every single day over the last 4 years as an LSJ Warrior.
