I’ve had the pleasure of coaching Logan for the past 3 years in the Brookings Ice Hockey Association (BISA), and have been consistently impressed with his professionalism, leadership, and dedication to the Rangers program.

As an organization, we have a goal of players, coaches, and parents to set the foundation for success for years to come and Brody has accomplished that with perfection. He not only exemplifies everything we want a Ranger to be, but he has been a supportive and positive role model for our younger players at all age levels. With that, Mr. Bortnem was chosen by his coaches and peers to represent the Varsity hockey team and the organization as the team Captain on and off the ice. He still finds time with his grueling athletic and work schedule to volunteer at events such as: Brookings Marathon, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and countless hours coaching younger levels of BISA. He will be joining the NAVY after high school and will be a great addition to the program.
