Mike served as an assistant captain this season and has exhibited solid leadership on and off the ice for four years. Since his freshman year he has grown into a model student athlete being a member of the National Honor Society. His team presence as a defensive forward didn’t get the weekly newspaper clippings, however his value on the ice and in the locker room or amongst the team was invaluable. Mike will be my fourth recipient of this award as I hold it in the highest regard.
