Mia has been nothing but a great teammate, leader and role model for her peers in all four years of her high school. She always was dedication, disciplined, portrayed great sportsmanship and character and has remained nothing but positive all four years of her high school. This year alone, it has been a rebuilding season as we have majority of new players on our team. Mia has been nothing but helpful to those new players and has been helping the coaches teach the game of hockey to whoever her line mates are. She also motivates those new skaters and the whole teams joins in cheering those new players on to finish drills during practice. Mia always finds inspirational speeches to lift up her team when we are down in games. Additionally, she always finds ways to make light of even the most difficult situations and put smiles on all her teammates and coaches faces. She has been a pleasure to coach and she is overall a great young woman who will be successful with whatever she does in the next chapter of her life due to her dedication, discipline and character! Regardless of her being the only Senior this season, there is no one more deserving of this award! As coaches, we couldn’t be more proud of Mia and her dedication to our team over the last four years! She is a true role model and inspiration and will be missed!
