These are the values that shaped the legend of Hobey Baker and they are also the values that have shaped Gracie as the player she is today. Coming into our program, Gracie made varsity as a freshman defenseman. She was a real go getter, gave 200% at every practice and game and is a very determined individual. One of the most coachable kids I have ever dealt with. She was willing to do anything and play anywhere. Unfortunately her sophomore year the dynamics of our team shifted and she did not make varsity and instead was placed on the JV team. She persevered through the disappointment and hardships there were everyday seeing her teammate on the ice at a different times then her. She never gave up. Continued to work hard. Was a role model and leader for the JV girls and never stopped working hard. She earned her spot back on varsity her junior year and has continued to be an instrumental part of our team success and chemistry. She leads by example with her work ethic and drive. She is willing to sacrifice anything for the girl sitting next to her. She is a very deserving recipient of this award.
