Matt made the Varsity team his sophomore year. like most underclassmen he did not get much playing time, but Matt was always working hard and doing his best to learn and become a better player. His hard work on and off the ice as well as his commitment to his team help to make him and his teammates better hockey players. His senior year, Matt was nominated Captain by his teammates. As leader, Matt was a positive role model and mentor who believed in his teammates and always had a positive message especially when times where tough.
Matt was also a role model off the ice as well. He has a 4.2 GPA, a member of the National Honor Society, 50 plus hours of community service and volunteer work.
For three years Matt lead by example both on the ice and academically. He has represented our team, school and community with integrity, honor and pride!
