When our team volunteered to help local residents clean up after a tornado destroy homes and trees, Zack drove his truck, brought a trailer and was a clear leader in the effort. When we asked the players to nominate peers to be captains, he specifically named a player not because he was the most talented, but because he admired his character and work ethic. Throughout the his senior season he has led through example and always made team first decisions.
