As an organization this year, we have a goal of players, coaches, and parents to set the foundation for success for years to come and Cody has accomplished that with perfection. He not only exemplifies everything we want a Ranger to be, but he has been a supportive and positive role model for our younger players at all age levels. With that, Mr. Niklason was chosen by his coaches and peers to represent the Varsity hockey team and the organization as Captain on and off the ice. His accolades don’t stop there, as he is a member of the National Honor Society (NHS) and boasts a GPA above 4.0. Somehow he still finds time with his grueling athletic schedule to volunteer at events such as: Feeding Brookings, Habitat for Humanity Restore, Salvation Army, High School Scholarship events, Gymnastics State Meet, and the Brookings Marathon. In the offseason, Cody enjoys hunting and fishing with his family and friends if he isn’t working. He plans on attending SDSU next year and majoring in Engineering, as he likes to create and infrastructure design.
