Patrick Allen is this year’s Hobey Baker Award recipient. Pat was captain of the Friars varsity ice hockey team and helped lead them to a first place finish and appearance in the Catholic championship series. Pat exemplified a commitment to teamwork, leadership, and outstanding sportsmanship. Pat always led by example on and off the ice. He was extremely coachable and sacrificed himself for the betterment of the team. Whether it was playing a different position, taking a big hit, making a big hit, or scoring a big goal, Pat could always be counted on to respond in the most positive manner. It is a pleasure to award Pat with this great honor.
