Phil Arnold is one of our Captains this season and is a great leader in everything he does. Whether on the ice, in the weight room, in the classroom, or in his personal life, Phil always does right. He never cuts corners and always leads by example. He possesses outstanding Tier 1 ability and is always at the front of the line for drills. He respects the game and plays it the right way. He rates off the charts in coachability and character strength. He is always on time and leads in the lockerroom with his even keeled temperament. His teammates have listened and responded all season to his lead. Phil has also mentored his very talented younger defensive partner all season. He has been a great sounding board for me, whether bouncing ideas and strategy off him, or helping me navigate difficult personnel situations. No matter the day or the circumstance, Phil has always been the student-athlete about which a coach dreams. Phil has honored our great game of hockey and set the bar high for all the young men that will follow him at Chaminade High School. He makes his family, friends, teammates, coaches, and school all proud everyday by the way he carries himself. The future for Phil Arnold is very bright and it has been a great privilege to have watched him lead.
