Will is the player that every coach loves to have on their team, and the kid that every parent wants their child to emulate. He displays tremendous character both, and off the ice. Will is the player that, on his own accord, will go over and work with a new teammate on bettering themselves as an athlete, and as a human being. He takes pride in helping others and is the first one to encourage them when they are feeling down or want to give up. His morality, integrity and compassion, along with his hockey talent, embody what the Hobey Baker Award stands for. He is a person I wish I could clone a thousand times over .. we could us a lot more Will Gilbergs in this world.
